I have had a longstanding interest in Canadian military history (especially jeeps, Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) trucks, and vehicle markings).

I am a museum manager and have been involved in researching Canadian military history and items for most of my life. I have been involved in the preservation of historic military vehicles since 1977 and am member number 954 of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association - MVPA. I have been associated with the Western Command Military Vehicle Historical Society  http://www.westerncommand.com since 1977. My research focuses on Canadian Ferret Scout Cars, military jeeps, military vehicle markings and Canadian Airborne history. I own a 1944 Willys MB jeep (ex-British Airborne), 1954 Ferret Scout Car Mk. I, 1943 Welbike Mk. II, a 1942-45 1/4 ton jeep trailer, a 1953 M100CDN jeep trailer, and a 1942 BSA folding "airborne bicycle".

I am also a Captain in the Canadian Forces Supplementary Reserves. I served in 18 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets (2 years);  the Naval Reserve (1 year); The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada (1 year), The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada (7 years), The Canadian Scottish (Princess Mary's ) (2 years) and 583 Coronation Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets (Cadet Instructor Cadre) (5 years).

In civilian life I am the Manager of the New Westminster Museum and Archives. I have been involved in the museum field since the late 1960s.
