Militaria - Sell/Trade
Militaria Wanted
Militaria Mysteries

Sell insignia

I am a collector, researcher and military enthusiast, not a dealer. The following items are for sale by myself, Colin Stevens, and by some of my friends. We are private collectors, and every once in a while have some items to sell either because they are duplicates, no longer of interest, or as is more often the case, we want to acquire something else for the collection. I am usually willing to trade for items I would like (see my Militaria Wanted page). A few non-military items are also listed for sale.

On eBay I use the identity "seaforth_highlander " and so far I have a PERFECT RECORD (627 as of 2008-03-21).

If you are interested in any of these items, please send an e-mail to seaforth72 (at) gmail.com Please use a descriptive subject line or it will be treated as spam.

Prices are in CANADIAN DOLLARS. Postage is extra. Payment may be made in converted amount in PAPER US dollars, GBP or Euros. I accept PayPal using the identity seaforth72 (at) gmail.com  To calculate the conversion of currencies try http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html

If no price is listed, it is usually a friend's item and I shall fill in the price ASAP. Items will be deleted from the list after they are sold.

All relevant laws must be complied with e.g. regarding firearms.

Here is a link to my page listing militaria for sale by dealers. Some is original, and some is replica for living history enthusiasts and re-enactors. http://bcoy1cpb.pacdat.net/sources.htm

Please have a look at my Militaria Mysteries page. I can't identify some items! Help!

$50

Wicklin.jpg (97597 bytes)

STOCK # 64  NEW dual script panel for display - "Ford" AND "WILLYS"! These were made up as a curio by Roy Van Wicklin - 4WD by VAN of Las Vegas. Definitely a conversation piece for jeep nuts! Comes primed in white for painting the OD colour of your choice. Not a replica as these never existed.

$130

STOCK # 77   British Army Armoured vehicle ration box. RATIONS No. 1    2 MEN-1 DAY Dated 1952 Maker "JES"   Used but very good condition.  Apparently correct for Ferret, Fox, Saracen, Saladin, Pig, Shorland, Abbot, FV432, Centurion etc.

I have a few available - first time in 30 years I have had them as they are rare in Canada.  1952 and 1953 dated. Apparently same as WWII (colour might be different though. Date and maker's initials are stamped into metal top and bottom.

To open, undo leather strap, then slide strap then lift off lid. Strong steel box!

Some have minor surface rust in places. All are just as they left the service. These obviously protect your sandwiches or whatever from being stepped on by a fellow crewmember.

Nice accessory. Can be used for WWII British armour though might want to repaint in WWII colours.

$30

STOCK # 145   First Aid Tin, British Army, for vehicles such as Ferret Scout Car.  NATO Stock # 6545-99-211-1573. EMPTY. Overall good condition. Minor scratches and dings. These are very lightweight tins and will dent easily. $15

STOCK # 135  ORIGINAL Jeep manuals SERVICE MANUAL JEEP UNIVERSAL & DISPATCHER; 1951 parts list; 1960 parts catalogue. VERY WELL USED. In three ring binder.  $20

Stock #148   1/4 Ton Jeep Trailer. Ex-California. Quite solid and straight. No tailgate. WWII style and was thought to be original but does not have "V" notch in side of frame. No data plate. Came with a restored 1945 GPW from estate of an ex-USMC Gunnery Sgt. in California. Was thought to be ex-USMC but now believed to be a post-war European army copy of WWII trailers. Registered as a 1942. Has a California assigned VIN number. Has combat tires. Needs combat rims, wiring harness, correct lights and sandblasting and painting. Can remove extra grab handles. Can remove wooden floor as it is lightly bolted to steel floor. Rear lights are actually blackout drive lights with the guards. Can remove rear frame extension and drop leg (practical but believed to be non-original) - popular feature with 4x4 crowd as one can sleep in the trailer and stand in it without it tipping over. Parking hand brake relocated and trailer now has over-run brakes (i.e. as trailer surges forward, lunette pushes against a cam to activate trailer brakes. Very practical. Peeling paint now. Located in Mission, BC.  $1,200.

FERRET PARTS & ACCESSORIES

I just purchased a variety of Ferret parts & miscellaneous in order to obtain some of the items for my own Ferret. As time permits and as I identify them

Desert camouflage net, British, plastic (circa Gulf War Operation Granby 1990-1991, small.

US gas mask case.

Bren valise for spare barrel, cleaning tools etc.  Green webbing, excellent condition. With some accessories but no barrel.

Clansman (?) radio accessories. Headset, ear-phones, cables etc. I just have to confirm that they are not correct for my C-42 radio.

Mirrors, small and round, older style, with arms, painted desert sand colour. 1 pair.

Bren spare parts wallet. Khaki WWII webbing. Dirty, needs washing. No contents.

Grenade discharger muzzle covers. Black cloth with elastics. A few odd rubber types too.

I will have some British AFV periscopes and stowage containers for sale - they just need to be identified.

Includes base with 4 bolt plate to attach to vehicle. Upper mount for Bren which includes deflector for casings and catch bin which attaches to right side. This has a wire mesh "floor" and one wall (at rear) is partly rubber, apparently for casings to hit against.

Bin shown dismounted - it fits over a large round stud on right side of the mount.

This unit is very heavy.

UNIFORM ITEMS

STOCK # 1 - ORIGINAL Circa 1944 USAAF B-3 (B3) Bomber Jacket. Original. Brought back from Avellino, Italy (near Naples) in 1944-45 by a Canadian solider who traded it off of a US Supply fellow for a bottle of gin. Very good condition. Canadian soldier replaced the broken zipper - which is why it was released. Name of soldier and unit available as jacket was purchased from his son. Label removed (probably by Canadian soldier so he could not be blamed for stealing American government property). Snubbing straps and buckles at waistline exterior were removed, possibly by the USAAF wearer.

Correct for B-17, B-24, B-25, P-38, P-40, P-47, P-51. "Twelve O'clock High" and all that.

Large size. Leather is in very good condition.

$800

STOCK # 2 Replica Royal Air Force (RAF) & Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Irving leather shearling WWII Flying Jacket. Similar to what was worn in World War II by fighter pilots and bomber crews.

Large size. Leather overall solid but exterior surface is starting to split on side.  Two repair patches. These actually give it the patina of the used look for a pilot. Ex-movie rentals (S&M Costumers, Vancouver, BC).

I have a similar one that I wear in the winter and when driving my jeep. Lovely and warm. A British collector recommended that these jackets should not be worn in the rain as the leather cracks quickly. New replicas available at Duxford in England sell for about $1,000 Canadian & tax, duty & shipping.

$250

STOCK # 3 1968 Canadian Air Force Flight Suit. Cold War. Made February 1968. Blue, two piece. Pants are bib overall style with built in suspenders. Jacket is short as it fits over the overalls. Appears to be a small size.   Ex-movie rentals (S&M Costumers, Vancouver, BC). $75 SOLD

Getting hard to find as most were worn out from use during and after the war. Three tears on right side - shown in photos.

Ex-movie rentals (S&M Costumers, Vancouver, BC).

This one for sale is identical to the one my father wore with No. 4 Commando in 1943 and is in much better condition but I am keeping my Dad's one for sentimental reasons.
