STOCK # 77
British Army Armoured vehicle ration box. RATIONS No. 1
2 MEN-1 DAY Dated 1952 Maker "JES" Used but very good
condition. Apparently correct for Ferret, Fox, Saracen, Saladin, Pig,
Shorland, Abbot, FV432, Centurion etc.
I have a few available - first time in 30 years I have had them as they
are rare in Canada. 1952 and 1953 dated. Apparently same as WWII
(colour might be different though. Date and maker's initials are stamped
into metal top and bottom.
To open, undo leather strap, then slide strap then lift off lid. Strong
steel box!
Some have minor surface rust in places. All are just as they left the
service. These obviously protect your sandwiches or whatever from being
stepped on by a fellow crewmember.
Nice accessory. Can be used for WWII British armour though might want to
repaint in WWII colours.

Stock #148
1/4 Ton Jeep Trailer. Ex-California. Quite solid
and straight. No tailgate. WWII style and was thought to be original but
does not have "V" notch in side of frame. No data plate. Came with a
restored 1945 GPW from estate of an ex-USMC Gunnery Sgt. in California. Was
thought to be ex-USMC but now believed to be a post-war European army copy
of WWII trailers. Registered as a 1942. Has a California assigned VIN
number. Has combat tires. Needs combat rims, wiring harness, correct lights
and sandblasting and painting. Can remove extra grab handles. Can remove
wooden floor as it is lightly bolted to steel floor. Rear lights are
actually blackout drive lights with the guards. Can remove rear frame
extension and drop leg (practical but believed to be non-original) - popular
feature with 4x4 crowd as one can sleep in the trailer and stand in it
without it tipping over. Parking hand brake relocated and trailer now has
over-run brakes (i.e. as trailer surges forward, lunette pushes against a
cam to activate trailer brakes. Very practical. Peeling paint now. Located
in Mission, BC. $1,200. |

STOCK # 1 - ORIGINAL Circa 1944 USAAF B-3
(B3) Bomber Jacket. Original. Brought back from
Avellino, Italy (near Naples) in 1944-45 by a Canadian solider who traded it
off of a US Supply fellow for a bottle of gin. Very good condition. Canadian
soldier replaced the broken zipper - which is why it was released. Name of
soldier and unit available as jacket was purchased from his son. Label
removed (probably by Canadian soldier so he could not be blamed for stealing
American government property). Snubbing straps and buckles at waistline
exterior were removed, possibly by the USAAF wearer.
Correct for B-17, B-24, B-25, P-38, P-40, P-47, P-51. "Twelve
O'clock
High" and all that.
Large size. Leather is in very good condition.

STOCK # 2 Replica Royal Air Force (RAF) & Royal
Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Irving leather shearling WWII Flying Jacket.
Similar to what was worn in World War II by fighter pilots and bomber crews.
Large size. Leather overall solid but exterior surface is starting to
split on side. Two repair patches. These actually give it the patina
of the used look for a pilot. Ex-movie rentals (S&M Costumers, Vancouver, BC).
I have a similar one that I wear in the winter and when driving my jeep.
Lovely and warm. A British collector recommended that these jackets should
not be worn in the rain as the leather cracks quickly. New replicas available at Duxford in England sell for about $1,000
Canadian & tax, duty & shipping.
