My friend Barry Gillis was born in Calgary in July 1944. He died in Burnaby
Hospital on 2004 Dec. 08 at 11:06 from natural causes at the age of 60.
He worked as a cataloguer for the Canadian War Museum for about 8 years, and
also worked at the Regimental Museums for the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada and
the 5th Field Regiment (artillery).
Barry had a variety of jobs in his career but he developed diabetes which
caused complications and affected his careers.
He was an amateur radio operator (ham radio), photographer and collector of
inert grenades and related items.
He has been cremated as per his wishes. A small ceremony will be held in
2005 Jan 30. Details posted above.
Here are a few grenade related photos that I have available.
